October 2010 Conference Round-Out

If you’re like me, you’re wishing that you could spend more time going to some of the interesting conferences that have been happening for web developers, publishers, and communications professionals.

Because many of us were not able to attend, some of the conferences offer some great resources about their sessions-including news articles, slide decks, and audio files/transcripts!

First, the Higher Ed Web Association has posted a lot of the presentation materials from the conference they held in Cincinnati earlier this month. If you click on a session in the schedule, beneath the abstract there should be a link to the slides, and they are working on providing audio and transcriptions to these presentations!

Avinash Kaushik, THE expert in Web Analytics, gave the opening keynote at the SIM Tech Conference last week in Las Vegas, NV. Karine Joly of HigherEdAnalytics.com followed up with a question session about Web Analytics specifically for Higher Education and you can read his responses in the article “Avinash Kaushik on Higher Ed Websites and Web Analytics”
